We take the need to integrate criteria for the sustainable construction of new buildings and renovations as a given today.
Great detail and resources are spent on the study and construction of energy efficient, comfortable buildings. Which are flexible in use but low in consumption. The tools allowing the evaluation and communication on these buildings exists in the form of BREEAM, HQE, LEED and dynamic simulations software.
Know-how and time to study are a necessity to achieve a high-performance building. Once the building is finished and put into use, the construction team leaves the site: the architect, engineers and contractors are than replaced by new players.
What kind of information will the project teams be passing along to ensure that the building's performances are maintained and optimized? How can the building be sustainably maintained?
The commissioning process for technical installations and technical documentation such as the 'Building Log Book' and the 'Building User Guide' are indispensable tools to guarantee the effective operation of the building throughout its lifetime.
